Here at work. Slow day so I'm soooo bored. Questioning my atheism a little. Could there be a higher Source? I don't mean YHWH because that sadistic son of a bitch only exists in the minds of its believers. I am talking about a form of intelligent design though but a designer who may or may not still exist and certainly not involved in our existence. Thoughts?

Physics is the only god.

I am not averse to that idea.

It's all a simulation.

What, like the Matrix?

Better than that. No flaws.

Science can neither prove or disprove a higher power.

WE are the higher source. We are our own gods.

Physics indicates that we are participating in creating our own universes/reality.

“Consciousness is fundamental, and matter is derived from consciousness." – Max Planck, theoretical physicist who originated quantum theory, 1918 Nobel Prize in Physics

Quote:

“A fundamental conclusion of the new physics also acknowledges that the observer creates the reality. As observers, we are personally involved with the creation of our own reality. Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe is a “mental” construction.

Pioneering physicist Sir James Jeans wrote: “The stream of knowledge is heading toward a non-mechanical reality; the universe begins to look more like a great thought than like a great machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter, we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter.

Get over it, and accept the inarguable conclusion. The universe is immaterial-mental and spiritual.” – R.C. Henry, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University , “The Mental Universe” ; Nature

Anything could be but in the complete absence of any evidence to suggest there is you have to ask yourself why you’re tempted to believe such a hypothesis. Biologist John Wathey helps us understand why we are perennially tempted in his very well researched book, “The Illusion of God’s Presence”.

Check out the Brahman concept.

Sure, and His name is Horton. Welcome to Whoville!

I've considered that. Or like in Men in Black where our galaxy is one of many marbles that other beings use for play.
