@TheGreatShadow when a person can't follow a very simple instruction, they're just telling you up front that your wants and/or needs will never matter to them, block/ignore them and move on. What are your hobbies aside from dodgeball, hunting, music, and bonfires? What do you do with your free time? How much free time do you have to put into getting to know somebody new? Are you looking for an exclusive relationship or something more open?

@JenBeberstein Thanks for the reply again. I really don't do too much more than what I mentioned for hobbies. I do like comedies, so I guess I can include that. I guess I should change the status to Long Term. I think that would mean I'm serious, and want an exclusive relationship. But then again that sounds needy doesn't it? I don't know if you can do it or not, but I'd like to include friends to the list as well. I guess that won't seem as bad, and I am looking for friends as well. I don't live in Omaha right now, but might move there as soon as next week. It's not like someone will want to meet after the first message. IF that's the case, it's probably some sort of scam. I lived there about 10 years ago. I haven't kept in contact with any of my friends for several years. Now that I think about it, three of my friends I went to HS with live there. I could hit them up on FB. But once again, haven't seen them in years.

I have a backup (and probably better) plan. Be a regular at a coffee shop/book store. Just hang out and read. Things tend to happen when you least expect it. Bars are out of the question. They might be good for a one night stand, but not a relationship. Maybe a gal will walk up to me and is interested in a book I'm reading. We get to talking... I don't know if I should mention this in the profile is that lots of lady friends have told me is that I'd be a good boyfriend. Why? I listen to them and make them feel safe. I think this would come off as lying. But, no, I've been told that several times. A friend of mine and her son went to a bar once to get something to eat. A girl I know was bartending. She thought the kid was ours! I don't have any kids. I just kind of act like a father. First guess should have been when he calls me Mike.

Another approach that works (found this out by accident) is if you are with another friend that is a girl. If you aren't with a group or something, people think you are a loser, hermit, or whatever. If I meet a girl that is just a friend, and wingwoman! I know it sounds lame, but works.

As far as time goes, I'm working part-time. I have lots of time to get to know her.

Thanks for the warning, but I know how to defend myself. The place where I am moving to... well, one night a guy got shot in the ally. Another (who was a serial killer) jumped off the top of a building right to the East of where I lived. I've been attempted to be killed 3 times. I'm vertical and breathing. I seriously thank you for the concern, but I can, and WILL defend myself.
