A few weeks back there was a thread about why one member wouldn’t tell another member what s/he did for a living. I remember at the time thinking about the days when I was a legal secretary, a job not as “prestigious” as paralegal, even though I knew a much as, if not more than, any paralegal in town. This quote pretty much sums it up for me: “People ask what you do for a living so they can calculate the level of respect to give you.”
I agree and I don't think that it should be that way.
No one needs to say what they do. I don't.
