Taste in music is like taste in food. No excuse/reasons need ever be given. It's enough what your own likes/dislikes are.
There's music that I may have enjoyed at one point in my life that has been played to death as well. That's a definite buzzkill too.
Not even a favorite Cure song, just thought it fit.
Somebody else's version mebbe?

@Donotbelieve Picturing you and your little ones breaking out into random dance-offs in the middle of the produce section had me tickled in the best way.
