I was in a DSW shoe store this afternoon where a mother spent about 20 minutes (the entire time I was in the store) going back and forth with a child who seemed about 4. The mother said they had to stand in line to buy the little girl a pair of shoes she clearly wanted. Then the child would scream that she wouldn't stand in line. The mother would threaten not to buy the shoes. The child would quiet. They kept going back and forth until I wanted to take the shoes, put them back, and put them BOTH in a time out. The mother seemed oblivious to the fact that she was reinforcing this behavior like crazy. Guess what's going to happen the next time they go shopping?

Aaaaannd then a sinkhole came along and swallowed up the Big Lots!

Not to be judgmental (but I am going to be)... That's pretty much a Big Lots customer profile.

if she hit that kid, i hope someone DID call the cops.
