This small town has a building that's about 110 years old. Been closed up, nothing in it. Well, rains have caved in the roof, which pushed against the walls, and part of it came tumbling down. Couple of bricks hit a passing car, nobody hurt.
This intersection, the main one in town, has been closed off for 10 days now. The asbestos test came back negative, so they say. Some people say they remember this having issues in the past with it.
The demolition was supposed to begin 2 days ago, but theres some kind of hold up. So, meanwhile, we get to see a post apocalyptic scene downtown.
As someone who grew up there, and still has five generations living there, I do feel sadness to see a historical building lost.
Not a lot of building codes where you live, here delect buildings are inspected annually if it fails a demolition order is issued.
