So I live in the cold frozen north, I'm no stranger to ice. It was above freezing when I left home. Got to work=, pulled in a parking space and stepped out of my car, and the next thing I saw was the undercarriage of the truck next to me. Yep, I hit ice and went down like a rock. I had to lay there for a few minutes and because I am one of the last to go in NO ONE went by. My purse was under that truck and I had to squirm to get it. I was wet, cold, and a tad disgruntled. I very carefully got up, got my stuff and got off the ice. I let my manager know, she was all for sending me home, but I'm a tough gal. Didn't get as much done today as I hoped to. Now I am somewhat stiff, not sure if that is the fall or the age. My plan is when I get tired of y'all I will go take a hot bath with oils and Epsom salts.
Oh I am so sorry....hot baths and gin and tonic...do wonders
Take care to be examined for bone fractures. ...healing cyberhugs your way Husker Hippie. ...Nebraska where the girls are the fairest and the guys are the squarest
sorry about that fall. some ice is more slippery than others.I am kind of awkward and fall fairly often on dry ground but always seem to hit right because I have a second to see it coming. NSAIDS could be your friend or arnica cream or orally if you have ever tried that. GOod for bruises
Take care of yourself! Falls are serious at our age. Hope you are better after a good soak!
A broken bone could cause a blood clot, and if it dislodges... a stroke.
@bingst Yes, I'm well aware. I work in disability claims. I deal with that stuff all day, and IF I do end up sick and have to apply for disability my office will handle my claim. I don't want any of my coworkers poking around in my medical history. LOL. But thanks for your caring words.
