I was just listening to Terry Gross interviewing Derek Black, former white nationalist on Fresh Air. One of the tin things that interested me was that the reasons he gave for leaving that movement were the same as the ones that people on this site give for leaving religion.

yeah he managed, through being accepted by the people his family taught him to hate, to become a thinking individual and when your godfathers david im a cunt of the lowest order duke thats pretty good going

Almost an obsession,until questions come up,no one can answer,I suppose?

well his dad runs stormfront his godfather was david duke kid never stood a chance really but hes smart and basically a decent person

Initially had trouble with his ‘vocal burn’ delivery … but as he loosened up, was very impressed.. Even thought to myself, ‘I’d like to spend time around that guy.’ An impressive young man.
