Of course. Just like they blamed them for the AIDS virus. The AIDS virus is a gay man’s disease according to the ignorant.

HIV (the AIDS virus) is a little bit different to blaming natural disasters on 'the gays.' The reality is that (other than sharing drug needles) the virus transmits most readily through unprotected anal sex. Males who have anal sex with other males are in a unique position of being able to put themselves at high risk of infection as a receptive partner, and then (once infected) put others at high risk as an insertive partner. This is why HIV will always have a higher incidence amongst males who have sex with other males than it does in the general population.
This doesn't make it "God's curse upon homosexuals." If it did, then surely God would find an equally potent method of smiting lesbians (who are typically at lower risk of contracting HIV than heterosexuals.)
I do love how they consistently suggest causation with absolutely no evidence.

I find it absolutely hysterical that the bible belt continues to be bombarded with floods and tornados while such "dens of sin" as San Francisco, Palm Springs and Las Vegas enjoy clear, sunny weather almost year round.
Perhaps the big guy upstairs is trying to tell these self proclaimed "christians" something about their behavior. I have a feeling that if there is a god out there somewhere, and if there will indeed one day be a day of reckoning, a lot of these assholes are in for a very unpleasant surprise.
