Flake is only blowing smoke. Even after announcing his retire (avoid shame of getting voted out), he's still too much of a coward to represent people over corporations.

He was confronted in the elevator by three women who lectured him on not protecting sexual assault victims.
After that, he issued an ultimatum to Trump that he wouldn't confirm Kavanaugh without an FBI investigation first.

I actually watched that encounter on CNN as it occurred. They were brave.
