Regarding Really Real Reality

Let's start with the postulate that there really is a really real reality. If that is so then IMHO space, time, motion and change are continuous. Stuff is discrete. Mind is just brain stuff and therefore mind is discrete.

So stuff is fundamental and therefore motion is a fundamental property that stuff has and you need the concept of space (a container) for stuff and motion to exist and happen in. Moving stuff further results in the concept of time. Now the ultimate question is why there is something (stuff) rather than nothing? Is a state of nothingness even more fundamental or basic than a state of stuff existing? Can nothingness morph into a state of something and if so, how does a state of nothingness 'decide' to morph into a state of something? Can a state of nothingness be equivalent to a state of something?

Now it could be the case that the matter / energy content of the Universe adds up to and is exactly zero. The amount of push energy could equal the amount of pull energy or positive energy balances exactly negative energy. A 'zero point' Universe would also require equal amount of matter and antimatter which is where things seem to fall apart since there appears to be way, way, way more matter than antimatter present and accounted for.

But again, the next problem is, how does a state of nothingness morph into a state of something? How can nothing 'decide' to become something? And is a 'zero point' Universe where push energy equals pull energy and matter equals anti-matter really a state of overall nothingness?

Quantum Gravity Loop Theory, while not universally accepted, is claimed to be the most promising theory for uniting physics and understanding reality. According to that theory space is not continuous or infinite, but discreet and granular. That theory has it that time doesn’t exist and that particles of matter are not things but interactions between covariant quantum fields. I get these ideas from “Reality is not What it Seems” by Carlo Rovelli.

If time does not exist, what does it mean to ask how the universe began? It’s a very human question but perhaps from a cosmic perspective is meaningless.
