One of the questions on this site when I signed up was if I believe in God or gods, and then it asked for a percentage. I was going to put down 100% no but I saw that 99% was also an option, which I selected. I decided to give up 1% because of a quote in a book by Victor J. Stenger. "This still leaves open the possibility that a god exists who may have created the universe in such a way that did not require any miracles and did not leave any imprint of his intentions." My brain likes that quote but my heart tells me to go with a 100% certainty that there is no God or gods. 🙂

Victor J. Stenger. "This still leaves open the possibility that a god exists who may have created the universe in such a way that did not require any miracles and did not leave any imprint of his intentions."

I really like that quote! It still gives me hope the human race has a purpose instead of being more like a virus on this earth...

The best approach, in my opinion, is to make a purpose for ourselves. This works no matter how the question of a deity pans out.

Myself I put 0% as I have no strongly held conviction that there is or isn't. Do I think there is? I really don't know and honestly I really don't care. But, that's just me.

To do that would be making a claim and accepting a burden of proof. I used 99.9 for the reason that while I have no knowledge of any good reasons to believe in magic sky fairies... I can't prove they don't exist.
