Feeling Introspective Today.
Not sure what category to post this in, but I was out walking this morning and as I passed by one of the ponds on the roadside I saw a young alligator sticking the top of his head out of the water. And looking cute too!
I got to wondering, what was he thinking about? They've been on this Earth for 200 Million years. What do they want? Why are they here?
They've never been to the moon, or written any great philosophy, or fell in love.
But have they done more than people have by just being here all this time?
Any Thoughts? Or should I go get a real job instead of taking pictures of gators?
That creature doesn't possess the intelligence humans do, and that's a good thing. No alligator wars or presidential fools etc. Peace simple existence...
So they say that a man is his own yard stick. We tend to measure by our own experience. We look at an alligator and in human terms it's not much of a thinker, engineer, artist or poet but when it looks back at us it thinks "yummy! soft, juicy, just needs little drowning and let it rot down for a day or two and it'll be perfect"
