With the way ai is developing do you think you could fall in love with an artificial human in the same way you could fall in love with a real human?

There was a movie a while back called Her with Joaquin Phoenix as a man who fell in love with the operating system on his device (not sure if it was a phone or ....). They had long conversations, she composed music for him, and was tuned into his emotions. They even had phone sex. It's not such an outlandish situation as it's presented. It has an interesting ending, too. I won't spoil it for you.

After the initial racism/speci-ism/robotism some people will not sure i would though

People fall in love with fictional characters from books, TV series, movies, etc. all the time. Robots wouldn't be any different.

I believe people tend to fall in love with ideas, the perfect marriage, the happy family, the dream job etc...reality is rarely that straightforward. I think in the future AI will likely become so realistic that indeed relationships will form (one sided). They can't be reciprocated unless we imbibe the AI with human emotions...then are they even AI?

That's pretty interesting because that's how I believe the beginning of our end will start. That's if we don't annihilate ourselve's first with a super virus or world war. I read somewhere that when we end no one will notice its happening. There will be no resistance or revolution it will just happen passively. Maybe it's already begun!
