I'm not a lesbian. I don't identify with lesbian politics. I just prefer to have sex with women than men.
there is no political party or movement called lesbian. lesbian is a word with a definition. it means a woman who prefers sleeping with women. if you don't like the word, fine and dandy, but redefining it as a political term in order not to call yourself a word you don't like seems a little odd to me. you have a right to be odd, if you want, and you have a right to call yourself whatever you want (i can call myself a sofa), but those to whom you make the declaration have a right to laugh or react in some less-than-believing way, since, by definition, dear, you appear to be a lesbian (and i do not fit the definition of sofa, despite what all my cats think).

You can be whatever you want, Grasshopper.
Okay, seriously. No two people are the same, you don't have to wear flannel and boots to be a lesbian; men don't have to be hairdressers or interior decorators to be gay; and real men can eat quiche if they want.
I don't remember the point of this now, but be true to yourself, don't worry about labels, defy stereotypes, and have a nice day.
What are lesbian politics?
Take over the world and make men work in the glitter mines !!!
@Simon1 Naw, that's the Gay Agenda. Lesbian politics is a Subaru Outback in every garage!
Oh, for the luvva small things. Okay, you're bisexual. No big deal. You do you, as the kids say.
As an actual, card-carrying lesbian, I can confidently say there's no such thing as lesbian politics, any more than there's such thing as the 'Gay Agenda.'
I thought that was what a lesbian was. What are lesbian politics?
Take over the world enslave men and make them work in the glitter mines and the tampon fields !!
A Subaru Outback in every garage!

Stop the madness. You don't have to label yourself anything, but we have words for a reason. You're a lesbian, or at least bisexual.
I do not prefer to sleep with men, at all. Yet I identify with "gay politics" insofar as I want everyone to have the same rights I do.
I'm a humanist, you're a lesbian. That's how definitions work.
Okay. I hate labels too! Although I am not sure what lesbian politics is!
I dunno either, and I am a lesbian!
That is a far reach to redefine things. If you have sex with other of the same gender , you also share inner thoughts with some of your partners. Which in my mind is lesbian or gay. Share emotional moments and cater to each other regarding needs and wants. I believe you just have an issue with something else and not your sexuality. You are great and caring. Just go deep and understand what it is you are really trying to say.
Everybody has the right to be as they wish.
If we are looking for same things on this site? Speaking of me, I’m looking for someone to share life with; lazy days, laughs, deep discussions, dreams, adventures, embraces, hand holding, heartfelt connection and more.
Lesbian, definitionally, is not political, it is a particular sexual preference / attraction / predeliction.
If you prefer sex with women then you're a lesbian.
It's just like how I'm an atheist given that I don't have beliefs about any gods. That doesn't require that I be politically liberal or pro-gay (though I happen to be both, and it's more likely that I would be). That's a separate matter. There are conservative and anti-gay atheists. Atheism doesn't define politics, it informs it perhaps if you let it. Same with being lesbian. Go ahead and be politically incorrect to most other lesbians if you want, but you are one of that group.
