Your thoughts on extraterrestrial life.
Possible, probable, impossible?
Do you think maybe some may have "visited"?
Is it possible aliens influenced the origin of human life?
14 billion years. An unbelievable 93 billion light years in diameter. Our ability to search for ETs has only been around 50-60 years. That's a 60 light year radius for any signal to reach us -- assuming that an ET species in that volume exists. The possibility is rather remote. We search, and can see / hear vast distances -- for example, 100,000 light years away a species could exist but are only now sending out signals which we won't see for 100,000 years. Visiting us? In the past -- same issue. Now -- same issue. If they did come it would be for resources, not contact.
Extraterrestial life is possible.
Probability is difficult to assess as so far, we only know that life exists on one planet. Given that there are probably an awful lot of planets in the universe, many of which may have similar conditions to earth, it is probable that life could exist elsewhere.
Given the huge distances involved and the fact that there does not appear to be a way to travel faster than light, I doubt that we have been visited by any aliens. Especially as we have no evidence of any extra terrestrial life, let alone intelligent life.
Given my previous responses, my answer would be 'I don't know'. I don't know that it is impossible, but I see no evidence that it is possible.
The present occupant of the White House could be an alien! He certainly is like no other human being I have ever seen!
it is extremely likely that there is life elsewhere in the universe. it is extremely unlikely that it looks anything like us. if it has visited us, it has most likely done so riding on a meteor while it was still pretty small; there is no reason to think that a life form with agency took a little trip out our way. evolution would occur elsewhere in a completely different manner from the way it happened, and continues to happen, here because conditions would be different even in a goldilocks zone, and as the narrator of the science channel tv show to which i fell asleep this morning noted, the universe plays by strict rules but chance is a big factor too. the dinosaurs died because of the rules (you can't find food, you die) but the reason they couldn't find food was the aftereffects of that big ol' meteor, which hit us by chance (determined by its rules). that combo, rules and chance, mean that life as we know it is unlikely. life we don't know... yeah, almost certainly!

Given that there are millions of so-called “Goldilocks” planets. I believe it’s very possible that there is extraterrestrial life. That life may not be humanoid. It may be any version flora, fauna, bacteria.. or be further advanced. I do not think aliens have influenced the origin of human life. There’s been no evidence to suggest such a thing.
