Probably the worst sound I've ever heard is whomever is outside of my apartment singing into either a mic + speakers or a megaphone in the most off-key tune in the history of mankind. Imagine some form of sound torture, and it is likely close to that. Even my headphones aren't covering it. Sounds like he's trying to sing Free Fallin', by Tom Petty, and the best he can do is struggle to remember the lyrics.

oy. it doesn't sound good. but i can beat it for worst sound. cats puking, especially when you know they're on your bed. i speak from experience.

Another,is hearing your Dog,waking you from a deep sleep as it's stomach is heaving,prior to dumping the contents.

@Mike1947 yes, especially if your dog sleeps on the bed. mine has her own bed, which she sometimes shares with her favorite cat, who is bigger than she is.
