Yes, definitely visitors, aliens, but to refer to them as gods is, in my opinion, categorically incorrect.

Now it is. Back then our ancestors didn't understand any of their technology, they just said a big silver bird with fire coming out it's azz. So they fell on their faces when it landed and human like beings got out that were around 17 feet tall.

We haven't even ruled out life elsewhere in our solar system. Current data on Mars and even more so on two of Jupiter's moons are starting to look promising.

Not to mention the myriad of other dimensions. Which could be much easier to get to than hyperlight travel or tossing a a probe into a wormhole or even the Bermuda triangle for that matter. Some planets could even be hollow. The moon rings like a bell when objects hit it. Admiral Byrde saw some weird stuff in the Arctic. And Antarctica even more so. UFOs could get here very quickly from an inner Earth. That removes the light years from the equation. Time will tell.

the universe is too vast to assume there isn't the possibility of life

Overwhelmingly enormous odds for sure.

Yup ?⭐✨??

Yes

they might be microbes. they're probably microbes. if they're not terrestrial, they're alien.

Like irridium.

Even psilocybin cubensis is from another world. Reminds of some Yes and Boston Album Covers.

@Infomaniac iridium is not a microbe lol. it's also not alive. it's also not an alien substance, even if (not sure) it can be found outside of earth; it certainly originates within the earth, as our core has a boatload of it.

Somewhere. Undoubtedly! Its a given.

It's just very highly unlikely we'll ever learn of their existence. The distances are just too vast.

Some alien race might come along long after the human race has winked out and dig up some relics of humans. Maybe find some DNA.

Rebuild Trump.

Then he can fuck up their entire civilization too.

See above possibilities that eliminate hyperlight travel and lightyears from the equation completely.

I assume there is other life out there somewhere. Whether or not it possesses reason is another question.

And depending on there being intelligent life on Earth, or Not.

@Infomaniac yes how you define “intelligent” is another matter ?

Yes - i believe there are an infinite number of planets supporting life right now, but the distances are so great that we may never meet any of them. Some civilizations must be far more advanced than us - so if we meet, it will be them coming here.

Yes I’m sure that’s true.

I suspect that any given galaxy is likely to harbor very few intelligent species; in many cases perhaps just one or none. But there are a lot of galaxies, so I would say there are almost certainly plenty of civilizations out there. I doubt they will be coming here, or that we will ever know about them.

@Coffeo Its not like we have a lot of data to make accurate predictions. I just go by if it happened here, then its likely to happen elsewhere.

@gater Fair enough.

Yes. If we are here they could be here also. The question is "just where is here.?" Depending on that answer the second question would be what do they look like?

I'm not talking about in a religious sense, but as science and written history, concerning ancient astronauts, re read Ezekiel 1 with this concept in mind. The so called Christians don't ever want to admit it, but Abraham aka Ibrahim, Joshua, Jacob and others like Moses, saw strange things we would immediately term UFO if we saw them today. I say Ezekiel as it gets right to the encounter. And of course Lamentations after the nuclear war in the Sinai that destroyed their space port there in 2024 BC. The area is still radioactive, has a lot of black basalt and glass to this day. The scars are visible in images from the Russian Zarya space station, aka ISS.

1

No.

I believe it is possible. But I will only believe that they actually exist when there is sufficiant evidence to conclude that this is the case.

Ever heard of Tiahuanica, Machu Picchu, The Great Pyramid, Sphinx or Landing Place at what is now Baelbeck, Lebanon where 1500 ton stones were quarried, moved a half or quarter mile and stacked so perfectly you cannot shove a razor blade between them. Megalithic sites around the World. I'd hope the freethinkers here would realize certain things on this planet were NOT built by primitive humans. Lots of evidence, references available.

Yes, it's almost a certainty. I don't know if we'll ever make contact given the vast distances between promising solar systems. It took the fastest spacecraft we've ever constructed thirty years to reach the edge of our own solar system.

No need for hyperlight propulsion if they're coming from inside the Darkside of The Moon or a subterranean habitat on Lhamu or Ki. (Mars or Earth)

As Carl Sagan said, if we're alone, what an enormous waste of space.

Lots of stuff going to waste on the 3rd rock from the sun lol.

Yes, There are 10^24 stars out there. If only one in a trillion have a planet similar to Earth at the right distance from the star, there is a good chance there will be life on those planets. Scientists believe that it didn't take very long at all for life to get started on Earth. Earth is ~4,500,000,000 years old, and many believe life has existed on Earth for 4,000,000,000 years.
