The only time politicians tell the truth is when they're insulting one another during a negative campaign.
Oh, but that's not even a time for truth-telling for most of them. Here in Arizona, one candidate tried to smear another as a "fake" doctor because she's no longer in practice. Our Senate race is also riddled with untruths from one candidate about the other. Sadly, it works in this state where I think too much exposure to the heat has baked some brains.
Political parties are the facilitators of polarization in our society. When I hear Nancy Pelosi claim to be one of the great leaders in DC because she raises more donor money than anyone else, I cringe. And, Trump's approach to the Presidency seems to be more related to his force as a celebrity; he is clueless when it comes to anything else.
Cultural truths lie with those who are in power, those with the highest ratings. those with the most money to spend. All of these try to convince people that they are telling the truth and that they have the best interests of public at heart, and not the furtherance of their own ambitions. Media does not have to lie to be bias. Media stacks the order in which it reports important events in line with its own cultural points of view, making these events more, dramatic, tragic, or pleasurable thereby enticing their loyal consumers, but alienating other points of view.
Not completely true. I believed Obama was perhaps the best statesperson of our time, He insulted no one. His campaigns were not disgusting , sometimes a little edgy but not gutter. Reagan, I did not vote for him, was a great communicator and he worked to UNITE the nation, The worst of the worst is indeed Trump. He is just pure shit and acts like a seven year old. This only amplifies the thought process about garbage politicians. Our nation is falling down and hopefully the democrats will pick us up once again. If there were no democrats we would be saluting Putin and toad stool penis
