Perhaps a cultural difference that emphasises the speaker over content is also a factor.

However, In both of those cases his flamboyant introduction brings to mind what I consider to be highly undesirable celebrities such as : Rush Limbaugh ,tRump, and a few other intellectual degenerates that posture themselves as powerful and wise authorities that (tragically) attract masses of people not able to accurately analyse their total lack of integrity and asserted merit.

I've encountered such bluster on these pages before. In each case, the person presenting themselves in this fashion descended into a litany of theistic BS assertions and denials of reality over faith. I really hope he breaks that trend.

In the states, the fascist degradation of honesty by those noted above produces a vitriol response by myself and others that value truth over bluster.

Although likely not intended, such an introduction leaves me with a very bitter taste.
