Brain structure. These thoughts are all "primitive," and easier to understand than reality, which requires the ability to learn. Their brains are not capable. Those who break free after years of stupidity (eg: Matt Dillahunty), do so because their brains were not completely hardened, and because their brains changed, as all parts of our bodies do.

i don't know about ALL the time but i do know they tend to be under the influence of a charismatic leader, and one way such leaders keep control is by separating his flock from the general population, so little things like facts and reality don't interfere with his business. the best way to separate people is to teach them not to trust "the other."
