I got my son as hero and role model. At the age I was joining the military and marrying his mother.... He was purchasing his house without help of a partner and already discharged from the military. He dances on stage on a dance company, is a dangerous geek, veteran of Afghanistan and ruthless with the ladies as any handsome son of mine will be and showed me he can do push ups with a girl in his back. A lot of them... I will have a hero and role model until I die. I still like my resume on life as more colorful but that's life. Kid already better dancer I will ever be. And that makes me proud. Just like my two girls are better musicians than I will ever be. I can live as a Proud Father rest of my life. Some traits of my kids... mother can not claim as hers. And because of what I had done... and still doing... I am my own Idol. Even if it means being as selfish as word I.

I have never modelled my life on anyone except perhaps the role-models my parents gave me. I look up to people like David Attenborough who I think has done immeasurable good, promoting the natural world to a wider audience. I also look up to great scientists throughout history for the contributions they have given us. 🙂

MLK, Gandhi, Eleanor Roosevelt, Jimmy Carter, to name just a few. Any peace maker and love maker.

those are good

Might sound like a cop out, but I try to be my own role model.

If I am going to idolize anyone, it is going to be ME.

@jlynn37 that's what I am talking about... Well Said!!!!
