I believe the cause is “white supremacy revolt”. I believe there are many white bigots in this country, and they are enabled by tRump and his primitive ways (Bullying, mysogeny, racism, etc.) These whites believe that they are “funding” the poor, the immigrants, the blacks, etc., and don’t care to learn the real facts. They prefer to be racist (but won’t tell others that!). So it becomes an exercise in preserving white dominance. Ignorance is not bliss, but it is a force to be (properly) dealt with.

By the way - I am white. I recommend everyone see “The Hate U Give”.

This nonsense will not end until this president get his racists under control. Hate crimes and threats have skyrocketed under his dictatorship.

As long as we have a NRA and Evangelicals that equate guns with Jesus, it won't end. I used to debate this topic often, but after Sandyhook, it became very clear that this is our reality, and it's going to take a different generation... hopefully the one coming up behind us, who will finally find a way to fix this.

I am afraid the far right fringe, the white supremacists and nazis, have only been emboldened by Trump's lack of condemnation (and in fact Trump said they are good people). The loss of republican momentum going into the mid term elections has pissed them off and they are acting out in deadly ways.

Unfortunately, I do nto think this kind of thing will stop after teh elections, if the republicans lose a majority in one or both houses, but such events will become common place, at least for a while. But, what choice do we have? We can let them have their way and move us further towards fascism, or can can vote those persons who failed to condemn them out of office.

Apparently, I’m now receiving my news ‘from here.’ Surprise surprise? Finally visited a Cabela’s sports center yesterday. Walked it good. Couldn’t believe the amount of guns & ammo they sold… That shit’s Big Business in the USA. And, all the ‘pissed off’ looking ‘white guys,’ prettymuch my age ..buying more.

I may let the BBC describe the latest carnage tonight by radio, as I enjoy my time here.. Our nation is sick, but the fever's been rising for many years. How bad must it get before something’s done to correct it … or will we die first? Touting our ‘Freedom’ to the world - as we mow down our supposed ‘enemies.’

Maybe when we find out what prompts these people to go in a shooting rampage?

It probably won't.

It will take a massive shift in the American culture and I can't see that happening anytime in the foreseeable future.
