Ok. This is quite shocking. A Canadian based study but I expect the results can be scaled globally.
I am surprised that most are not concerned. I know of a woman whom recently flew and now has a serious ear infection that they can not knock out. I am not saying that the flight was the source but the timing is too coincidental.
I’ve carried hospital grade wipes for years. I remember reading a study from at least a decade ago that found MRSA on 25% of keyboards. I wipe down everything when I get to work and when I go to the grocery store... People with thier dirty kiddos.
It’s good to work out the immune system!
No. It’s not good to do battle with flesh eating disease or any antibiotic resistant bugs.
@Science-guy coating everything with anti-bacterial just makes the bacteria stronger.
@A2Jennifer I am not sure that is correct. A strong disinfectant kills the bacteria
@Science-guy yes that would be the purpose of anti-bacterial. But if they don’t kill the bacteria, they become more virulent. Like anti-biotic resistant infections.
@A2Jennifer I shall go with science.
@Science-guy yeah you probably should.
But believing that science is infallible is different from acknowledging the existing science.
@A2Jennifer I did not suggest it was infallible. Current effective practice is to use wipes or gel. I am not a virologist so I follow their advice
It's unlikely that I will ever fly again. It's no longer fun, just business and annoying security.
I am of the same opinion. I recently drove 1200 miles one way to avoid the flight. It was great to see scenery and stop when I wanted.
