Have we substituted religious activities and believes to political polarization?
Intriguing how the human needs to adhere to some current of thoughts... no shades of grey, so it seems the way go in our "modern and civilized" days.

i never had religious activities and beliefs and i have always been political. why assume polarization?

Of course there are many shades of grey, white and even black, but some people just do not look into things and fly by their pants.

Yes, you're definitely on to something there. The other side is evil. Nothing the other side has to say could have merit. Excommunicate them from the discussion etc.

@Filiusnatura Good question. I think in principle, it was understood as God/Satan and now is understood as opposing value systems. In application, it is the acts of the opposing ideological groups. Subjectivity can convert a positive value to a negative. Objectivity will judge the actions of the two groups by the value system handed to us by our Judeo-Christian cultural heritage.
