Way back on the first day of early voting! I just couldn't wait!

Me too! First day, they were still setting up and training courthouse workers. But, my daughter was visiting (from her all-vote-by-mail state), and I wanted her with me 🙂

@Varn a great lesson!

@SukiSue She’s all grown up, but having been exposed to serious politics throughout her life, I just had to drag her along 🙂

@Varn Yep! I started mine Young as social Democrats. One jumped ship and one stayed. all you can do is exposed them to everything and hope they make good choices for themselves.

Damn right.

Absolutely!

I voted twice!

No, just kidding.

Can’t vote, not a US citizen.

I just laugh that any country would elect Trump.

It is scary that he got elected!

I became a US citizen for the express reason to participate, and hopefully to counter the corruption and insanity!

Yep. For the first time, straight blue without even researching the candidates. Here in Colorado, there are also very important constitutional laws for anti gerrymandering amd environmental protections that I foind to be important. If anyone needs help with the issues/candidates, use ballotpedia.com

You bet.

I voted early on a Sunday. I figured everyone but me would be in church.

Felt like I ‘voted twice,’ as a second daughter called to go over her ballot (all vote-by-mail) with me! “I know,” she said, “Vote Democrat” 😀 It was impressive listening to her describe deciphering the multitude of other issues on her ballot … as if being drug to all those political meetings in her youth have paid off..

We can only hope!

Yes...and my 18 year old twins and my 20 year old voted absentee from California.

You bet your sweet ass I voted. Part of the Blue Wave baby!

If you don't vote.... You have absolutely NO RIGHT to complain or criticize anything or anyone!

You do have the right!,, but I will not do much good!

1

Yep, about two weeks ago.

1

Nope.

I voted for Gore.
I voted for Bernie.
I voted for Hillary.

What's the definition of insanity again?

Not voting & allowing the tRump-ettes to have their way?

your NO vote gives more pover to the insanity we have now.. worst than all the others.

Yep, I'm the problem. Not the electoral college or the gerry mandering or rampant voter suppression or campaign meddling, it's the people who are sick of dealing with the process. Let me know if you need a scapegoat for anything else. You're doing a great job of making the world a better place by voting btw, you definitely stopped Trump from getting in so thanks for voting!

On what’s partially touted as ‘a dating site,’ that’s the least sexy exhibit of manhood I’ve seen..

@Varn Oh you've emasculated me enough to go out and vote. I guess if I had no decent argument to make for voting but liked my delusion I'd resort to weak-ass tactics too. Just goes to show you that belief without proof isn't just for religion!

@mattersauce You’ve emasculated yourself.. I pity you ~

@Varn That's your opinion, you're welcome to it. I actually pity you to be honest, to think that voting matters in our current political climate is painfully ignorant. The parties in charge leave the system as is since it helps the masses feel like they're in control. In Texas they're looking at 30% of votes being flipped from Democrat to Republican, the same is happening in Georgia. But hey if those 30% didn't vote at all, they couldn't have voted for their not-chosen candidate. Don't worry because elected officials aren't doing anything about it. Get out and vote for whoever you don't want and continue to pity me.

@mattersauce That’s wrong, on so many levels.. Conspiracy theories are just that. Have you volunteered to monitor elections? I have.. You can follow most ballots from the box to their file (systems differ of course), interrupting the process if you’ve a concern. Your description of ..flipping votes is the equivalent of trump's disproven assertions of ‘3 million Illegals having voted in CA.’

There’s obviously nothing I can do to persuade you to at least negate the vote of some A-hole Republican with yours, ‘that’ sometimes being as good as it gets.. But dissuading others, claiming ‘the system’s rigged,’ that ‘all politicians are dirty’ … that’s having swallowed their pill - while they’re taking the other one! -- using any of numerous single-issues to get out there an elect more dirty republicans.. They promote voter apathy ..and with progressives, looking to make sense of chaos, if too often works.

I apologize for the manhood statement, you’ve an opinion, and you gave it. I just don’t see anything more we can do, other than sharpen our pitchforks 😕 Fingers crossed for the returns tonight, maybe we’ll both be surprised ~

@Varn Conspiracy theories?

[snopes.com]

I agree that I hope things turn out better, but I'm not interested in voting in order to feel better about myself or have others praise me or get an "I Voted" sticker I can post to Facebook so all my "friends" can LIKE it. Voting at this point is a ploy, when the popular vote doesn't even determine the candidate that reaches office and there are dozens of examples of elected officials tampering with voting either through gerrymandering or voter suppression and when money rules supreme far over votes, candidates lie and there's no accountability, I'm not allowing anyone to think or convince me to think that voting makes a difference.

Everyone tells me that I need to vote to change the way things are today, well I've voted over and over again and look where we ended up today.

@mattersauce ...guess that’s why I’ll never win a lottery.. But we did win The House ~

@Varn Climate change isn't real because I was cold today...
