you are wise for your years. that is at least one of the biggest problems; there are so many biggies it is hard to point out one, and sometimes the problem is the combination (greater than the sum of its parts, and all that). but seeing things as either/or is so dangerous, yes? now that doesn't mean that every point of view has truth and value. i admit my bias: i am terribly biased against nazis, for example, or at least against naziism. there is no value or truth in that, and that's just an example. people are not ideas, though. there are bad ideas and there are bad people, but not everyone with a bad idea is a bad person, and we tend to make an awful lot of false assumptions about one another.
