Well that's my work's xmas party sorted..in Dublin. Woo hoo! ??????☘☘☘???
Has anyone ever been to that fair city? I never have. Will I need to take out a mortgage to buy a pint of Guinness? ??
Took a tour of Ireland a few years ago (I think 2009). Spent almost three days in Dublin. Had a great meal at a little pub out of the tourist district, not unreasonably priced. Did quite a bit of walking about. Lovely along the river and the historic district. I was fortunate to have lovely weather, in fact for almost the whole trip we had very little rain.
Wayhay! Nah, a small personal loan should do it. I’ve only been once, and then it was only a few hours. And it was 47 years ago, so I don’t think I can offer anything constructive. Slainte. ?? X
Prices for drinks vary dramatically from pub to pub. Enjoy your visit to Dublin!!!
@ValJ
?
Wear the right skirt and they'll buy the pints for you.?
@ValJ Lol, a soft Dublin accent? Bit of an oxymoron, that. Not as harsh as Belfast, but nigh on incomprehensible when in full flow. For soft, go to Cork or Galway. XX
@ValJ Mind you, posher Dublin folk can sound like they’re from the posher parts of the south-east of England, except with a non-English lilt to it.
Sure I’ve been to Dublin... Ohio.
@ValJ It’s as exotic as Paris and London... Kentucky.
Nah, it's not too bad, a pint might be around $7, hotels and BnBs 100-200 dinners $30-100
It's a lovely city. Have a great time!
i love dublin. yep food prices are high in ireland but i think you can manage a pint. i like the jewish irish museum, myself, and hope it still exists, but just looking at the colorful doorways on the homes and businesses is a trip in and of itself. talk to the people! the people are the country!

@ValJ oh please do! i would be relieved to know if it still existed. it was sorely lacking in funding last time i looked. wait, let me see if i can find its page.
