Are you agnostic or atheist and why?
I am Atheist until presented with credible evidence to the contrary.
Both.
Because they address different prongs of the same question.
Atheist because I see no evidence that the claims made by theists are true.
Agnostic because I do not know absolutely that a god/s could not exist in some form in some universe.
I do not have to prove that no god/s exist as I am not the one making the claim that they do. If you want me to buy your snake oil, you need independently verified evidence that it works before I will buy it. Same goes for religion.
Atheist. Technically, I am an agnostic atheist because I do concede that I can not prove the non-existence of deities any more than a theist can prove their existence. However, the probability that any deity exists seems to me to be so close to zero as to be negligible.
Agnostic; because I have the brains to admit, I don't know what the fuck is going on in the universe.
Through the abuse I sustained as a child with a young indoctrination that included a couple years of prayers I stopped believing at about 9 when they went unanswered.
And it was about that time too that I discovered after being locked in my room for a couple of weeks with nothing to do and no entertainment such as a radio radio or a television and not even board games or books is the moment when I discovered I would never be alone.
I'm a childhood schizophrenic and also asexual so it can't get much worse than that and why I would say I'm a strong 7 on the Dawkins scale...
I'm sort of a blend of both. I don't believe in the Biblical "Hebrew God" or any other diety, but I do believe in "collective consciousness," "Higher Consciousness," or "Source."
