What guilty pleasure TV shows do you watch... Like you know they're kind of bad, but you watch them anyway? I'm watching"Love After Lockdown" and "Riverdale" now. I'm not counting "The Bachelor" b/c it's so fake I have to turn it off after 5 minutes. I am waiting for "The 100" to come back, that is entertaining...
While on vacation found 2 new shows to watch-don't laugh-Big Bang Theory and Young Shelton.
I like both of these but I only see them at other people's houses. I gave up on having a tv. I didn't watch it enough for the money. I am a cheapskate
Big Bang is cool. Can't believe how it has become a syndicated kingpin. Haven't seen Young Shelton, but I hear the fans love it.
Shadowhunters, Riverdale, Hoarders, Intervention and Worst Cooks in America.
All fabulous..
Hoarders is really creepy, in fact, I think the majority of TLC shows are creepy.
Floribama Shore
Jersey Shore
I consider it research. Helps me learn the language the kids are speaking these days.
Thank goodness my siblings have children who seem to update my slang knowledge. rofl
I don't have guilty pleasures, just pleasures.
The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Justice League Action. Yeah, I'll probably get the DC streaming service.
Unsolved Mysteries... I. Can't. Stop. Looking. At. That. Train. Wreck. Tell NO ONE!
Bad tv shows? I only watch whatโs good imo, I donโt understand :/
It's like the Doritos are bad for you, but they are yummy so you eat them anyway....
Breaking Bad was really good @UrsiMajor
@NothinnXpreVails My Choice for best TV show of all time... Many argue the Wire... But I like your play on words...
I don't really like reality shows but I'm obsessed with Project Runway. I've been watching it forever and enjoy Allstars as well. I really enjoyed the spin-off Project Runway Accessories but it only had one season. I started watching when it was still on Bravo but now I just watch it on Lifetime.com since I cut the cable some time ago.
Project Runway has some emmys or some esteemed credentials for being arguably the best reality show out there. Disqualified from "guilty pleasures" in my humble opinion...
Loved the Betty Boop showdown last night. I would have had a hard time picking between the top 3. I would have worn the romper in the summer.
I was digging the romper but I think Joshua's look definitely deserved the win. I wouldn't wear it myself but I think that applique would translate well across the collection. I hope they'll show us the collection he does for Betty later in the show.
I do not have cable or satellite and do not watch commercial TV at all. I will watch some PBS that I find of interest. I watch YouTube videos every night before retiring.
Guilty pleasure shows... ? Well ... saying that... I haven't seen any of those... we watch all horror and sci-fi shows.
I like Riddick, Nightmare on Elm Street, Evil Dead, 5th Element, Scary Movie, Ring, off the top of my head for stuff that could be considered kinda cheesy...
@UrsiMajor. There you go... that's what we watch!
I love Supernatural
I have been watching the SyFy's channel "Happy", which ended for the season last week. There's just something about this show that is sooo off-the-wall!!! Can't wait for season 2.
Next show I'm looking forward to, also on SyFy, The Expanse.
Other shows I follow: WestWorld, Better Call Saul, Wrecked, People of Earth, Colony, Baskets, The X-Files
Sci Fi is never rubbish in my opinion! Westworld is going to get really interesting this season. X-Files - OMG! Love it. Baskets... awesome. Colony - it's coming back right? And Happy is just wonderfully strange in a good way.
@RavenCT: USA has signed up Colony for a 3rd season, though production has moved from LA to Vancouver, which is why season 2 seemed like they were closing shop because they really are moving the story out of LA too.
I love what Chris Carter is doing with the X-Files, i.e. silently acknowledging real life in DC has become an X-File. The recent episode "The Lost Art of Forehead Sweat" had me rolling on the floor. While I'm sure Carter & Co. may still have a few monsters and aliens up their sleeves, the show seems to settling in on closing out Mulder & Scully's arc, which is about time.
Happy! is one of those rare shows that just seems to hit all the right buttons for me. Whether that momentum carries on into a 2nd season is to be seen.
Another show, which I highly recommend on Netflix is Ozark, starring and directed by Jason Bateman...YES, that same Jason Bateman from Arrested Development, except this show is a lot grittier. Think of a mashup between Breaking Bad and Fargo.
@LucifersPen Oh I about died over the last X-Files. Ending with chem trails.... I just died. Oh when Skinner pulled out that tooth? - I wish I had more online memberships - I only have Amazon Prime. My nieces keep telling me I'd love "Stranger Things".
@RavenCT: Who would have thought of Haley Joel Osment in that role, eh? And you haven't seen "Stranger Things"...damn, you'd love it. It's like chewing on some nice old fashion salt water taffy for the eyes. You gotta watch it!
What's so bad about them?
Currently binge watching "Damnation" and "Altered Carbon". I enjoy well-written, well-acted movies and TV shows... it's an art form.
"Love After Lockdown" was created by the makers of "90 Day Fiance" to tide us over until new stuff comes out. We literally follow people who met incarcerated love interests online and watch them for real life relationships. Obvious fiascos waiting to happen for our voyeuristic needs. Still good dating advice learning for me. "Riverdale" is a TV series adaptation of the "Archie" series comic books. It takes a dark twist and tries to be a little like Twin Peaks. First season was better than the second. The second gets a bit silly at times, but still is entertaining. "The 100" is a post apocalypse setting where people live in space after a nuclear war and go back to Earth after the space station runs out of air. Questionable acting , completely unbelievable ,but still entertaining.
Altered Carbon is on my next to watch after I finish Van Helsing on Netflix
I watch a lot of etchi and many anime otherwise, I know people say itโs for kids (not the etchi, thatโs rated MA), but I like it.
