‘Don’t you dare’ sounds grammatically correct while ‘do not you dare’ doesn’t.

ha ha ha... my eyes keep playing games on me... the first round I read "dramatically" !!!....then I was going to say "Well I must be dramatic so ..don't you dare..blah blah" when I realized my mistake and I am still flat on the floor laughing.. gee, this is the best med ever

Because in the imperative sentence structure it should be "You do not dare" or "do not dare, you." We typically drop the "you" from imperative sentences, because it's implied "don't do it" or "come here."

that is because they do not mean the same thing. "don't you dare" is an imperative. "do you not dare" is a question. they're barely related.
