Oh, likes are used for other things, too. For example, a like is worth a point, so it doesn't matter if I agree, disagree or even like a post, I'll like it to get the points and to check that I've read that comment or reply. Both people get a point, so the other person likes me to give them. Exceptional posts get a love-like, and sometimes I'll give another, for example a Haha, Yawn, or Grr. Unfortunately, I often forget to give a like. Sorry.

That's a fair point, and I thank you for the reminder: it's something that I've more often than not forgotten about, but a habit I'd like to develop. It's occurred to me before that it's a little nonsensical (to me) to engage in discussion (pro or con, doesn't matter) without acknowledging the discussion prompt. Hopefully now I'll do better.
