Apologies people we don't have thanksgiving in Scotland and I really don't understand it's significance in popular culture. All I will say is enjoy it one and all. And live long and prosper

We aren't celebrating Thanksgiving today either in Canada (though I've gotten Happy Thanksgiving messages anyway). Our Thanksgiving was back in October, and it's never that big a deal here. In fact, Halloween is the more important "holiday" in October.

@darien75 Hahaha. My family doesn't celebrate it either. I actually hate Thanksgiving. Most people only care that they get a day off. But my work requires me to work on Thanksgiving weekend anyhow.

@darien75 I suppose people in different jobs have different holiday schedules. I own my own business and work everyday all year long. Holidays are the busiest times for my business. When people go on vacation, it's when I get ready to work more.

@darien75 LOL. I get no holidays. My boss is a bitch. Even when I've gotten injured and on crutches I still have to do paperwork. Tsk tsk.

@darien75 I own a pet boarding business. I check here while working on corporate tax forms. Fun fun. I'm an invalid for awhile and am not supposed to do any work but I hate wasting too much time. I'm taking things sort of easy.

It's where we all eat too much in celebration of natives saving the people who would turn around and slaughter them. Yay! (Sorry, I am super Debbie Downer today...)
