In loving Memory of JFK!
55 years ago this day our history was forever overtly changed!
How many remember that day so long ago and where you were?
I was in the seventh grade at Bowdish Junior HighSchool Opprrtunity Washington in my Science class!
The next four days are like living within the twilight zone with black and white TV offering us a view,a glimpse never before wintnessed or seen since.
RIP JFK.
I was more devastated by MLK's murder frankly
Completely understandable since both most likely were murdered by the same fascists republicans!
@of-the-mountain Not sure I agree about that, but in both murders I have no doubt the CIA was involved, maybe with the help of other groups.
I was in my 3rd grade classroom when we were notified and our teacher turned on the TV in our room, which was unusual, since we only turned it on for televised lessons. At home, days later, I remember watching the televised funeral with my mom, and how I noticed that Caroline and John Jr were younger than me, and feeling so sad for them.
I was only 5-years-old and I don't remember the day he was shot, but I do remember watching the funeral on TV and my mother crying. I was at NASA HQ in 1986 when the Challenger Space Shuttle accident occurred, and that day is burned in my memory.
I was only five years old and too young to get the whole picture, but not that many years later when I was in my late teens I realized that this event revealed the truth of how we no longer had a real democracy, if we ever had lived in one before.
I was four and was not really aware of this; the deaths of Martin Luther King Jr., and Bobby Kennedy disturbed me five years later. On a personal note,my sister Karen also perished that year, and the combination of these untimely deaths caused my eight year mind much disstress.?
I was a little kid. Mad because the news coverage was on when i wanted to watch the three stooges!
