They are open. As the owner of a few I know for sure - in fact I even use some.

It helps if you can let folks know you'll be there at a certain time. Let me think about it some more in Insomniacs Group? Maybe there is a way to leave a post pinned to the top - for folks to say what time zone they are in and looking to chat?

We hope to have a sound alert for room entering one day too. We've always known this was an issue.

I run the Singles/Mingle/Chatroom. We are open 24/7. We try to have someone in there at least 12 hours a day.

I have always found them 'open'...just no one there. It seems like if there were scheduled times, people could meet at that time. I just wondered if I was overlooking something somewhere.

I joined the night owl group only to find no one ever in it. I understand time zone differences but never? Anyway I got out of that one. I think the person who started it told me that they had certain times that it was open which is ridiculous since it's for night owls, but that speaks volumes I guess that chat rooms arent open all the time for some reason.

The singles chat is the most active. The group mods set up the chat blocks.

Each chatroom has specific hours they are open, times could be found on the main page of each group that has a chatroom. No one is there when you are most likely because most members don't use said chatroom.

Depends on the room, some are 24/7, others have designated times.
