....Great Grandma Bell was a party line with the ear piece on a cord hanging on a hook to hang up on callers the mouthpiece on top of a short pole

I remember all too well rotary telephones and tripping over that long cord of the telephone hanging in the hallway. I remember walking half a mile in the snow to call my girlfriend on a pay phone so I could have some privacy away from my parents. Geez, I sound ancient!

I think I got it from FB! It made me laugh because it is so accurate. My granddaughter may never see a rotary telephone.
@HippieChick58 landlines don't seem to go anywhere these days . It reminds me of my Grama who's 94 , she seldom leaves the house .
