Idk.. There's an implication that there is no need to reflect so long as you're on the side of the minority... Reflection is a tool that should be used regularly regardless whatever else is going on.

Absolutely we should always pause to reflect. I think the point is that just because you're surrounded with a group that agrees with you, doesn't mean you all are right. It's easier to just go along with the crowd and assume the research has already been done sometimes.
