So how many of you have spent Thanksgiving alone like I have? Two years since my separation and divorce... having,few friends and family around niwadays, and they have their own families to engage with at holiday times. When I read the posts here from women who are single and complaining about not having someone to add meaning to their lives...well, why not consider getting to know a sincere and romantic man like myself? Distance is never a barrier for me...merely a temporary challenge if that particular woman turns out to be the right one to share life's pleasures with. I'd like not to have to spend a second year of holidays alone again...don't any of you nice women feel the same way?
I was with family this past TG(my cousin’s family) but I was alone in the hospital the entire week of Xmas, starting with Xmas eve morning.
There are reasons why I don’t go to gatherings of my immediate family, and being alone etc is less traumatic than seeing them. Im more introverted and more of a loner as I get older, too.
I’m sorry it’s a tough time for you, I understand.
You seem too nice to be introverted.
@tedelliss lol. Introverts are nice.
Intro/extroversion is about what energizes you. If being around people charges your batteries: extrovert. If you need time alone to feel recharged: introvert.
Maybe you’re thinking of hermits??
@CarolinaGirl60 LOL
"Distance is never a barrier for me"
and, yet, your BIO gives a limit of a little over 100 miles.
Perhaps you need to redo your BIO and/or be more clear in your parameters?
Also, assume that anyone who may have been interested already read your BIO and might have been turned away by the distance limit. Therefore, your aloneness can most probably be traced to the very words you wrote and the limits you created.
If you truly want change....change you BIO, change your words, and change your thinking.
I mean, seriously, the odds that the perfect person lives in "the next town over" are pretty astronomical.
I had thought about that - and did so. Thank you for reminding me of that, though.
