Ok so I joined here with the intention of using it as a dating site primarily and was surprised to find that its allso an active community. Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying finally getting to talk with some like minded individuals, but im still more interested in the first use. To this end I have been contemplating making a post of all the specifics that I'm looking for to draw some attention but I'm concerned it might be looked apon negatively. I'm seeking opinions on this especially ones from the female perspective.
I think the membership needs to grow some more before it will be a viable dating site, but the site is just a little over a year old. It's been growing pretty fast.
I had no idea that the site was so young, I poked around the net quite a few times years ago looking for something like this but the closest I could find was a bunch of "if your alt: ie not christian" sites that catered toward are large variety of faiths rather than the exclusion of them all. I was hoping things would move along here compared to the bumping into people snails pace of normal life. Looks like this is the long game of waiting for membership to build.
here is some female perspective: it's really great that this is a community because that's a more normal way to meet people of whatever gender you seek. if i were looking for a romantic relationship (i'm not) i wouldn't want to look at someone's self-written resume ("i'm a nice guy" seems to be big -- and what is a guy going to say, "i'm a rotter"?) who knows who that person really is? i see a lot of fake pictures and fake profiles (that you can find all over the net on ALL the dating sites, except the person is 30 in one profile and 18 in another and has all different faces and names, but it's word-for-word the same bizarre profile), mostly from women (i see them because there is a certain kind of post that raises my hackles and i go look to see who the poster is and whaddya know, she always looks like a model, usually alittle like ivanka trump lol, and i find out she's not even real). with the community you can actually find out what people think and feel and are up to, and maybe become close to some as friends, and maybe, MAYBE, even find something more.
