I can truthfully say I've never stood anyone up in my life. And that I'm not rare. Some people DO have good character.

If you're getting a lot of this then I'd look at the sources they're coming from, and maybe try to change those. I've been out of the dating pool for a decade but I talk to daters here who insist on complaining about bottom-feeder sites like PlentyOfFish. You get what you pay for when it comes to dating services. Also, even the paid sites aren't exactly setting the world on fire with lots of selection. I ended up meeting my now-wife on a non-dating site, a site (now defunct) for people over 40 to discuss common interests.
