I wanna meet someone in Longview Texas
You should probably move there. It would up your odds.
Don't listen to him, you would miss the trees.
Haha, yeah I live here now
@Sticks48 El Dorado is part of the Piney Woods area of Northern Louisiana and Southern Arkansas. I remember traveling from Shreveport to El Dorado once and getting claustrophobia because of all the pine trees on both sides of the road. If I remember right Jefferson Texas has that many trees as well.
@Lorajay I grew up in Lawton, so I know how people have this idea Okla is this flat featureless state. We both know this could not be farther from the truth. People in other parts of the country think all of Texas looks like Lubbock. I believe movies have shaped people's ideas of how different parts of the country look. Remember "Gunsmoke"? The opening always had a view of Dodge City with these small mountains in the background. You have to look down at your feet to see the highest point in Kansas.
@Lorajay I certainly know that name. I just can't place him.
When I graduated from LHS in 66 I left town only coming back to visit my Dad and Grandmother occasionally. Then me Dad, who managed KSWO radio at the time moved to IIlinois to run a station up there. I moved back there in 95 for a little over a year out of necessity, and I haven't been back since, so I am a little fuzzy on some things.
@Sticks48 Tommy was the guitar player that didn't get on the plane with Buddy Holly. He was the band leader at the Club for a couple of years in my youth. He ended up producing records and stuff out of Fort Worth, Lubbock, and Nashville. Since you are in Texas, I thought you might have known him from that.
