My best friend lives in Eagle River and has a cake shop. Her shop and home have damage. She is ok and only suffered small glass shards in her legs. She is waiting for reports from inspectors to see if she will be able to 're-open her shop.

Oh my goodness! Glass shards in her legs - really brings it home as to how serious and real these natural disasters are - and how people can feel lucky that's the only injury they have. Our existence on this earth is so fragile, that we can be gone in an instant if nature hiccups.
