My sweet Brunhildigard,
Died from anal cancer
I wish so much that I could saved her.
My sweet, special girl.

I had a Brunhilde, she was a rotti, very sweet. She too died of cancer. But I have a story for you. I was introduced to a "pet psychic". She told me that "Hilde" didn't like her name...it was to gruff, too masculine. I always called her sweetie from then on.

One thing I have learned from life is that love and pain are twin sisters. Of course we always hit on the good-looking one, but the dark one, she always has the last word.

(I say this as a man who has buried several dogs in my life, and at the current time, am not sure I am ready for another).

Well put. We have no idea how we are going to get through the demise of our two dogs, who are around halfway through their lives. It is unlikely we will replace them, partly because we've had way too much bereavement (human and animal) in our lives, and because it's not really fair to get replacement dogs on the rebound if we're not fairly likely to outlive them.
