How is this wrong? Stringing lights, and hanging the little tree decorations, and all the other holiday stuff. We've got lots of very old bulbs,...
Looking forward to the many "Sing along messiah" experiences. Great music. Lots of camaraderie.
if you like it, do it. i'm jewish. i have no christmas tradition and in fact want to hide for a couple months out of the year. last night i lit the menorah and served a lovely meal, and told the story of chanukah (teeny tiny miracle part invented after the fact by rabbis, but mostly an historical war story, and that's exactly how i presented it, too). tv ignored me and concentrated on the holiday that is almost a month away. anyway if i can light candles, you can decorate a tree. the difference is you will be supported by society from hallowe'en to mid-january and most of the world will pretend i don't exist )

Go to a big church for the singing. It does not matter the words. The hundreds of people singing is great.
@Jacar i have been to a megachurch. that was the WHITEST hava nagila i ever heard! i think i should try a small church some day (for the singing of course).

@Jacar went to a midnight mass once. by the time they got to the music i was exhausted! lol but i imagine there are some that don't mind if one walks in late just for the singing.
