Try Meetup groups. You can find people in your area with common interests.

Maybe a social event,bars(in my opinion) are for Alcohol consumption.See if there are any "Meetups"
in your area. Camera,wine tastings,eating out,games,hiking,there are many categories to chooses from.

Free thinkers are another group to investigate,attend one of the gatherings,you may find the Women there who is looking also...

I marry people for a living, and a lot of my couples meet on line, probably 50% of them. Otherwise, couples meet through work, or through mutual friends. Some have met through meet-ups, secular groups, hiking and other activities.

For me, I've given up on the big search, and just do the activities I enjoy by myself or with girlfriends, and not worry about "finding" someone, but just enjoying my life, doing what I please. If I happen to come across a great match for me while just doing what I enjoy doing, then great. If not, at least I'm not sitting at home, unless I want to.

I wish you luck with finding someone. It is not easy, you are not the only one thinking so, but don't despair, there will be someone out there for you. I am an "old" lady but I too have been where you are and I did meet someone, several times over. Your time will come.
