I wonder what those who discount the Theory of Evolution might have to say about this new and problematic invasive species?
"Marbled crayfish, a freshwater crustacean, arrived on the scene between 25 and 30 years ago as mutated descendants of the slough crayfish, but with three sets of each chromosome instead of two – making them all female and able to reproduce without mating."
Bass love crayfish. Dump some in our lake. Predation and food supply will balance out.
Humans are THE problematic species. all the others are because of us.
I just read an article where they found remains of a half scorpion, half spider. When the spider was evolving.
"It's a message from God to stop messing with the ecology! ... oh, right, we don't believe global warming is caused by humanity... my bad."
Well, I'm not certain Earth's ecology has that much to do with it since the mutation may have occurred in someone's aquarium!
What do yu mean? Reproduction without male involvement has been possible for a long time. Parthenogenisis

Yes, of course, but not in crayfish. This was a mutation that occurred, resulting in a new species of crayfish that is parthenogenic. They have been released into the wild, and a single individual can produce 200 - 300 copies of itself in a 3 month period, and each copy has the potential to do the same. That's a problem.
I wonder how many regular female women will fight to counter this possible stage in Humans. It could happen if we do not look after our drinking water.
But they don't look like tribbles........
LOL!!
How much trouble could tribbles trouble if tribbles double trouble?
