One of the biggest relief with the separation is that I do not have to clean up after her anymore. We had a very unequal relationship when it came to chores and no matter how many times I addressed it, the situation never changed. I ended up feeling like a father rather than an partner, which I should not have to have been. I am one that doesn't like delegating anything and making people do things. It is very exhausting. I'm so relieved that I will get a break from this.
