Well....here I am in Australia. I have returned to Oz indefinitely to help out with family matters. I am still acclimating and havn't quite mastered the rhythm of the accent, which means that I almost always miss half of the conversation! ? It is still a beautiful country and I am happy to be here with friends and family but wow do I miss the U.S. even with all its troubles. ? Even though I have been a little disconnected of late due to my relocation, I am still attempting to stay up to date with all that is happening in my adopted country. (I see glimmers of hope of late, ? more than I have had since donald was elected.) I will try to attach some pictures of this beautiful country as I can because I know a lot of you would enjoy that. Keep up the good fight ya'all and I look forward, as always, to your contributions, friendship and outlook. The attached pics are of the park outside my Melbourne City Hotel and the Gt. Ocean Road trip SE (I think) of Melbourne. Melbourne is so worth a visit if any of you make it this way.
Enjoy the change of scenery! Looks lovely, though a bit wet. Almost went there when I was a kid, but Dad never followed through.
I am enjoying the landscape and it's uniqueness. I always miss the noises and smells of the Australian bushland when I am away from it.
Enjoy it and thanks for posting the pictures!
Well I hope they were enjoyed.
But You are about to be in Summer so... Many Envy You including Me.
Your right it is summer but it has been more winter like. Although today we reached 100 degrees. I love it.
@patchoullijulie Ouch!!!!!!! 100 degrees sounds nice right about Now.
Melbourne is a gorgeous city. If I had to live in a capital city in Australia, I would pick Melbourne.
Yes, I agree. It is my fave place...would live there in a heartbeat.
Best of fortune to you and yours.
Thank you.
