I'm cranky. I preface this with, i'm cranky. I have a cold or flu, and i feel gross. I ate canned soup. Gross. And i snapped at someone really important in my life. I don't like anything about this. I asked my nephew what his doctor said, because i'm presuming i got his sick from last week and his mother is thanking god that he feels better. ... I want to know the science. Ugh. I don't have health insurance and didn't get a flu shot this year. I guess i should just get some orange juice & bourbon and stop cranking. ?? ?

your probably know most of this, but here goes: honey & tumeric; make for an awful tasting, but possibly helpful natural antibiotic. and there's others you might have left in a cabinet. gargle with salt water. hang your face, and sinuses, over a slow rolling boiling pot of water, take vitamin c cough drops, take generic otc meds like chlorpheniramine maleate, or guaifenesin, before you end up taking breaking bad meds. take antioxidants, citrus, vitamin c, echaneasia, and supplements, or minerals. women, and anemics like me, need iron, green veggies, and protein. order or make hot & sour soup. any asian food. i like spicy, not hot, like curries. get the pipes clean. remember your rain forest, and flora in your tummy, and the big nerve to the brain. eat brain food. hang in there kid, it only feels like you're gonna die. you're not gonna get off, that easy. he he. hugs

p.s. just because a flu shot might fight off a specific bug. at the same time your slightly weaker fighting the shot, you can get a dozen other bugs. vaccines, in general are good for us. and doctors are full of shit, that "a flu shot can't give you the flu." maybe, that single one. cocky jerks. we're all our own best doctors, and only expert on ourselves. for me, since childhood, and too this day, a carbonated beverage is most likely the first thing i can drink after losing my cookies. i guess, it's the sugar, and comfort, and the bubbles. the resulting burbs seem to be a part of turning my plumbing back in the right direction, for me. not milk. not even water. it's counter intuitive. because everything is, from a certain point of view. take what's worked before. beg and borrow to get it. your worth it. and you're good for it. take care of "you". watch a lot of comedy. listen to alot of music. read a lot, or draw or create, anything. all day, every day. and focus on gratitude, acceptance that you are your own mommy now, and keep away form anyone who lacks compassion, or much empathy, or sympathy for ever hard it is for you. they don't know your life. right. pat yourself on the back, for the year you had. take stock. coach will call you back into the game. have no doubts. peace. om~

Still here (did not die) and i am feeling better. 🙂 thank you. Loads of vitamins and avoiding prayer warriors worked for me.

I worked in public transit as a driver for 42 years. Rarely took a day off sick. If I felt something coming on (stuffy nose, sore throat) this is what took care of it. It will not lessen the symptoms, there are plenty of OTC remedies for that. But I never had the flu/cold for more than a few days. For sore throat, take Zink Lozengers. Not the candy coated variety found in drug stores. Thy GNC or other vitamine shops. For the rest: 8 to 10 grams of vitamine C a day. I used to take half in the morning, half in the evening. As symptoms ease, tapper off, but continue taking until you’re pretty much back to 100%. I made the mistake of stopping to quick a few times and had to start over. That’s it, unless you have allergies or issues with vitamine C. But this has worked for a lot of friends that tried it as well.

Yep. Loaded up on vitamins and slept a lot. Thanks! Feeling better. Only 4 days feeling like poop.
