This article was really good - and totally accurate. I've always believed that political correctness had nothing to do with being "politically correct". It was simply a call for people to be polite when dealing with other people. By putting the word "political" into the expression it was only matter of time before the backlash would hit. The whole thing is incredibly stupid.....when you open your mouth - just don't say things that are rude, insensitive and/or callous. That will make you a decent human being - no matter what your politics are. IMHO
After reading this article, I agree with the point of it, but some of it depends on perspective. The bicycle analogy is only good to a point. I always give clearance to a bicyclist, but, when a bicyclist is riding on the line that seperates our lanes, my thought is; "what a dick." I know that the bike lane get filled with loose debris that you want to avoid, but by avoiding your obstacles by riding the line, you have now become my obstacle. I find that to be a selfish attitude.
